Aesthetic Surgery Procedures
Rhinoplasty, also known as nose surgery, can be performed to enhance the appearance and/or function of the nose. Sometimes rhinoplasty is also performed for reconstructive purposes. The latter type of nose surgery can be used to improve a patient's quality of life by improving his or her breathing. Patients who undergo reconstructive plastic surgery have either broken their nose or have been born with a birth defect, such as a deviated septum, that restricts their breathing. Rhinoplasty procedure, whether performed for reconstructive or aesthetic purposes, can be completed in a surgeon's on-site surgical facility or in a hospital ward. If an overnight stay is required, skilled nurses are always at hand to care for rhinoplasty patients. Some rhinoplasty patients choose to combine this surgery with a vacation, which is why many surgeons offer packages that include both surgical care and a stay at a luxury hotel. If you are considering rhinoplasty, please consult a board-certified plastic surgeon before making a decision.
